As the Gaza-based terrorist organization proudly showed off the future generation of Hamas, Palestinian toddlers could be seen holding guns while wearing military uniforms with Hamas’ distinctive green headband in the images posted to various social media sites.
One such image of a schoolboy with a rifle was captioned: “Hamas cubs, they are the next soldiers of Gaza and the next liberation army, god willing.”
Another picture of a toddler wearing a beret and holding a gun was captioned: “Generation after generation Hamas is increasing its enthusiasm, dignity, and power.”
Hamas has been celebrating the anniversary of its 1987 founding since the beginning of December with various commemoration events, and another major celebration is reportedly set to take place on Wednesday.
The video embedded below includes footage from last week’s parade.
Two years ago, Hamas similarly marked its anniversary by parading its fighters through Gaza and burning an effigy of a religious Jew.
Hamas has a long history of exploiting children in its fight against Israel by indoctrinating them to glorify terrorism. This past summer, Hamas turned at least one of its terror tunnels into a tourist attraction, and it has since been frequented by children. In May, videos emerged of a school play in which Gazan kindergarten children dressed up in fatigues and simulated the capture of an Israeli soldier.
The Islamist group operates summer camps in order to indoctrinate and train thousands of elementary, middle, and high school students to follow its strict creed. This summer, Hamas reported that some 50,000 children have been trained in Hamas terror camps.
